GHRP-2
Product Overview
GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone–Releasing Peptide-2) is a synthetic peptide belonging to the growth hormone secretagogue class, studied for its potential to stimulate endogenous growth hormone release. It functions by interacting with ghrelin (growth hormone secretagogue) receptors in the pituitary and hypothalamus, influencing signaling pathways involved in growth hormone regulation.
Preclinical research suggests that GHRP-2 may promote pulsatile growth hormone secretion by activating the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R1a). These mechanisms are believed to underlie its observed effects in experimental models examining endocrine signaling, metabolic regulation, and tissue repair processes. Because it works through receptor-mediated stimulation rather than supplying exogenous hormone, it has been studied as a tool for evaluating natural hormone release dynamics.
Beyond its role in growth hormone pathways, GHRP-2 has also been investigated for its potential influence on appetite signaling, energy balance, and neuroendocrine regulation due to its interaction with ghrelin-related pathways. Ongoing research continues to explore its impact on hormonal modulation, metabolic signaling, and adaptive physiological responses.
